By creating an account or accessing EduQuest ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service immediately. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access the Service in the United States.
2. Eligibility & COPPA Compliance
You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service. EduQuest does not knowingly collect data from children under 13 in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you are a school using EduQuest for students under 13, you represent that you have obtained necessary parental consent.
3. AI Services & Educational Disclaimer
EduQuest uses Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate study materials, quizzes, and grading feedback.
- No Warranty of Accuracy: Artificial Intelligence can produce "hallucinations" or factually incorrect content. You acknowledge that EduQuest is a supplemental study aid and should not be the sole basis for high-stakes exam preparation.
- Academic Outcomes: We do not guarantee specific grades, test scores, or college acceptances resulting from the use of our Service.
4. EduCredits & Payments
- Virtual Currency: "EduCredits" are a license to use software features and have no real-world monetary value.
- Non-Refundable: All purchases of Credits or Subscriptions are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable state law.
- Expiration: EduQuest reserves the right to expire unused promotional credits after 12 months of inactivity.
5. User Content & Conduct
You retain ownership of the notes and documents you upload. You grant EduQuest a limited license to process this content solely to provide the Service (e.g., generating a quiz from your notes). You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service for academic dishonesty or cheating during proctored exams.
- Upload content that is illegal, infringing, or violates the rights of others.
- Attempt to reverse engineer or scrape the EduQuest API.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EduQuest Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including loss of data or academic failure) resulting from your use of the Service.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
